mapIT to feature at the 2012 Mobile Entertainment Africa Conference
~Harnessing the power of mobile device usage ~ mapIT are pleased to announce their involvement in this year’s Mobile Entertainment Africa Conference with Etienne Louw, Managing Director as one of the keynote speakers. Hosted at The One and Only in Cape Town, the conference will kick off on the 29th August and conclude on the 30th August 2012. What makes this conference so effective is the way that it is set up; the delegates are seated at round tables to encourage discussion after each mini session. mapIT in Africa
We spent a few weeks travelling across Africa, showcasing our products and finding suitable partners. Two notable events we attended were East Africa COM and Mobile Web West Africa, which we have summarised as below. 700 Digital leaders networked & discussed growth opportunities at East Africa Com East Africa Com 2012’s conference, which took place on 17 – 18 April in Nairobi, Kenya came to a close after 2 days filled by successful networking and learning. deCarta Roadshow
mapIT went on the road for a week to showcase the deCarta platform, after signing exclusive distribution with deCarta. The team started in Cape Town on Monday 20th February at our sister company, MapStudio, premises where we had over 50 registered. The following day they went to Durban at another Avusa company, Hirt & Carter, where the most amazing sign was printed, see below image. There were again over 50 registered for this day. The roadshow ended with two day in Jo’burg where we again had 50 registered for these days. The final day of the roadshow, 24 February, ended with our first ever Developers DevZone Day.
